Business Development Manager (NYC)

Blue Orange seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to lead, develop and execute revenue generation strategies. This is our first sales hire and you'll be working with the CEO to grow the lead pipeline. This is a startup so an entrepreneurial mindset is crucial. The role will be responsible for defining and executing sales plans and processes, generating leads and avenues for new leads, and developing leads into customers.

The Business Development Manager should drive strong integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions including marketing, sales, deal terms and pricing. In addition, the team member will work with the CEO to help build a sales and marketing strategy to field to grow a repeatable sales model. As systems are put in place, we will grow a team to support sales process.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create scalable sales process and recurring sales pipeline

  • Generate and qualify the leads, and nurture client relations

  • Convert leads to opportunities by articulating the capability of Blue Orange services as they relate to the client requirements

  • As we scale, build and manage an effective and target oriented sales team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience selling software preferably software services

  • Bachelors or Masters, preferably in Business, or other related field preferred

  • Possess a minimum of 4 years sales experience, preferably within technology groups and be able to interact with C-level technology executives

  • An ambitious, decisive, technically competent leader, who is results driven, has a natural competitiveness and operates with a sense of urgency

  • Must have some technical background

  • Desire to explore new opportunities for fast paced technology companies; familiar with the terms surrounding Data Science.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully build and manage a sales team

  • Strong communication skills and capable of working effectively with clients.

  • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, dynamic and deadline oriented environment

  • Must be entrepreneurial, bright, articulate and able to challenge management to think beyond conventional wisdom within the current business paradigm

  • Proven track record on reaching sales targets, building sales team and achieving sales quota

  • Must have demonstrated ability to be a strategic thinker and experienced at developing sales plans for short and long-term results.

You will be joining a highly talented team of engineers working on a custom hiring and talent mapping application. We are helping a large company leverage their data to find the perfect candidates. This ranges from predictive models to answering other very open-ended questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Use statistical, algorithmic, data mining, and visualization techniques to model complex problems, identify opportunities, discover solutions, and deliver actionable business insights.

Blue Orange is looking for an extraordinary digital content strategist to plan, execute and maintain content for demand generation, product marketing and brand campaigns across Blue Orange's digital channels.

Seeking an experienced technical project manager to drive the overall planning and development of full stack data science applications. The role will require successfully leading a fully remote team to complete complex development projects and managing communication between client specifications and the development team. Job Description

We are looking for an awesome React/Redux JavaScript Developer to help us build our web application. Our application uses GraphQL with to connect the server and the client. We’re looking for someone comfortable dealing with structuring the Apollo/GraphQL queries to optimize data fetching into the redux store and right into React.

We also have a lot of data visuals on the roadmap and experience working with D3 or other data visualization libraries is required.

We’ve mapped the Elastic Search query API into the graphql interface which makes the data interface very sophisticated. It’s a fun, data heavy middleware but gives the client a lot of power to request the range of data it needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Comfortable working with D3/react or other data viz tools to make dynamic interfaces.
  • Write well structured GraphQL queries and pattern good binding with React.
  • Optimize code for efficiency and scale.
  • Testing client-side code and data loading queries.

Skills And Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years working with React, React Native, Redux/Flux architecture.

Seeking a Sr. Scala Engineer to help develop and provide architectural input on a trade processing and aggregation platform for a large financial institution. We are looking for an experienced Scala/Akka developer with strong multi-threaded development knowledge. Should have experience with the Lightbend reactive architecture.

Data Engineer (Washington DC or NYC)

We are looking for an Experienced Data Engineer with a preference for Python that will be responsible for managing ETL/ELT and performant data storage and retrieval. Our projects ingest data from multiple sources, wrangles the disparate data into a unified schema, and then provides a final database/cloud storage for reporting efforts by other groups.  We are looking for candidates proficient related AWS services and DBs.

Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, data ingestion, data wrangling, and algorithm development. Major technologies involved include AWS, Python 3, Spark, Pandas, MySQL.

Skills And Responsibilities

  • Development of new RDBMS schema to handle the addition of new datasets.
  • Applicable AWS proficiency
  • Comfortable with Containerization (Docker, Vagrant, etc)
  • Ability to write intermediate to advanced SQL for data wrangling and reporting efforts.
